This has been bothering me since quite some time and I shit you not I want to punch all those annoying vegans in the face who fill up my timeline with crap veganism posts.
Let me begin with what is veganism?
There's vegetarian, non-vegetarian and vegan.
Vegans, in addition to being vegetarians, do not use dairy products or animal by-products such as eggs, dairy products, honey, leather, fur, silk, wool, cosmetics, and soaps derived from animal products.
Okay great, you care for animals, we get it. Does it mean everyone has to support the cause? Nope.
I honestly never heard of veganism till 5 years ago. In the last 5 years, the concept of veganism has gone from a genuine cause to something that people do to feel cool and get noticed. It has become a trending topic just like Kim Kardashian.
What's worse is that these vegans criticise animal lovers who eat meat. I just don't get the point of doing so. I am an animal lover and I eat meat. I don't see the hypocrisy in this. If I see an animal suffering, I will do whatever it takes to help that animal, be it a cat, cow, donkey, snake, elephant, dog, etc. But I will not accept anybody questioning my choice of meat. Criticising meat eaters is not going to help your cause.
Also, if you think shifting to a vegan is the key to an instant healthier lifestyle, you're not necessarily right. You need to plan your meals properly and follow some rules otherwise you will end up skipping some key nutrients.
Humans were born omnivores. There's no changing that. What we choose to eat depends on us and it should remain that way. Let veganism co-exist like vegetarians and non-vegetarians do. But if you try to be preachy jerks who like to rub things in people's faces just to seem cool, you're just not helping your cause.
Let there be peace.
Thanks for reading!
Stay tuned.
Toodles :)
