I'm not gonna lie.
I am happy for many reasons as opposed to the usual few. My life is finally back on track after taking a brief tour of shit-show town. I have realised how important it is for me to share. I may be a good secret keeper but I too have limited storage space, so when I have to make space for one and old one needs to be let out. One of those was let out yesterday and believe me it felt like the relieved fart you give when you're holding it in for like an hour and its causing a stress on your stomach.
Now that we're done talking about me, lets talk about the topic. Everyday is a new day. I got a short story forwarded to me on WhatsApp by my dad and it was pretty cool. The moral of the story was on different lines but its related. 'Hang your troubles outside the house everyday before you step in. Your loved ones don't deserve the residual anger. Next day when you leave, pick up the troubles from where you left them and you'll realise that you've forgotten many of them effortlessly.'
What this means is that we all live different lives. We have different struggles and since we share the air we breathe we often tend to look at others and feel that the grass is greener on the other side. You're not human if you don't think that way. However, while 1% of the times, it is greener, the rest 99, it isn't and that is just a reality check.
Humans see the green grass and are often driven to complain about how unfair life is to them. In addition to this, they have other problems in life and all of this combined affects a person's mental health and overtime leads to behavioral changes which in turn affect the people around him/her.
What we need to realise is that everyday is unique and so is every person. We cannot compare lives based on statistical or materialistic data. Person A has something which person B doesn't and vice versa. This shouldn't drive us crazy. Everyday is a new chapter and new chapters can't be a copy of the old one. While both the chapters are connected, they both have something to cherish about, rather than being a monotonous sob story. Lifespans aren't determined and short or long we must remember to Carpe Diem. Stay away from what 'might have' and focus on the 'what can be'. You'll see the difference.
Thanks for reading!
Stay tuned.
Toodles :)
