A very recent news article about a famous TV actress committing suicide
gave me the idea to write this post. Now I have previously written about
depression, anger and a few other things which do influence suicidal
tendencies. And so today I will write in length, or atleast it may seem so
about suicide.
Suicide:
The act or an instance of taking one's own life voluntarily
and intentionally especially by a person of years of discretion and of sound
mind.
The above definition is correct and precise because most
suicides are often by the least expected, sound minded individuals. Here's what
I think. Sound minded people are often blessed with the ability to think for
themselves and humans as we are, we end up closing all options for ourselves
leaving us in hopeless situations where the only escape possible is death.
Some would say, suicidal people are cowards because they run
away from life and often want an easy escape. I would disagree though. I
personally am scared of dying and so are most of us, We see death and we run
from it because life is precious to us, Suicidal people are brave enough to
embrace death, more so bring it upon themselves. They are stupid enough to
waste their lives, yes. But their courage is definitely out of question.
I was walking down an empty road and I was staring at my
shadow and that lead me to a thought which I ended up putting on Instagram too
but here's a snapshot.
Wherever I go, you follow.
The day you leave me,
I'll be dead.
Literally,
I need not explain why I said that and what it means because
it is pretty self explanatory. However what I would like to add is that shadows
only occur when there is a light. And when that little light of hope burning
inside you dies, you lose your shadow
and you're dead inside.
So what matters is for you to be alive from inside as well
as from the outside. Life isn't easy and it is never going to be. Having hope
makes the difference, It keeps you running. Things won't always go as planned.
There will be setbacks, obstacles and through all that YOU must live. Live to
see a better day. Even if you're the person who says there is never a better
tomorrow, know that there is a better day after. Suicide isn't for cowards, its
for the hopeless ones who gave up on the one gift they had in life, life
itself.
So if you ever feel that standing at the edge of a rooftop
or holding a knife to your wrist or tightening the noose around your neck or
putting a bullet through your brain or taking those pills is going to help the
world or help you, NO, it won't. It'll trigger a chain of events which will
never stop. Like I've previously mentioned, time is like water. Drop a pebble
and the ripples will grow in size as they move farther away from the origin.
Time will find its way to get back to you by troubling anything that's near and
dear to you. You wouldn't want that, would you?
Stay alive! Stay smiling! Stay tuned!
Thank you for reading.
Toodles :)
