The Perfect Getaway

Don't you sometimes feel like running away; far from where you are, starting afresh and hitting that reset button?

Yes, I do too.

I want to go to a place where nobody knows my name or my story and just accepts me for what I am when unchained. Note that I say unchained because we all are chained, we are slaves of the life we've chosen. We cannot always afford being our true selves because sometimes it means giving up on what you're aspiring to be. We can be crazy, we evolve from apes, if let loose on the world we can cause so much chaos and yet be happy, worry-free. This isn't reality. This is my version of an escape from reality.

Look at us. Quoting Adam Levine from his famous song 'Lost Stars', 'Are we all lost stars? Trying to light up the dark...' We can be so much more only if we have a better goal than a mere grade, or a certain job or a certain person or whatever materialistic thing you wish to achieve. In most cases, it is a getaway that can help you no matter who you are and what you're going through.

The definition of a perfect getaway can vary from person to person and that applies to all of my posts. No topic is agreeable to all.

Anyway, a perfect getaway can be defined as simply as a picnic to paradise. It doesn't mean you are gonna stay there forever. A getaway as the term suggests is a method to get away from your routine life and try to be yourself for once. We as humans have a tendency to get bored of something when we are exposed to excess of it. We want variety and want to be surprised. Which is why a getaway HAS to be temporary, else you will make THAT your routine life and get bored of it leading you to find a getaway from the getaway which is basically the routine life you wanted to get away from. (I'm using the word getaway and the phrase get away too many times)

A perfect getaway could be a trip to a hillstation, an island or any place away from your usual workplace. It may or may not include company. You can enjoy alone as well but memories are often made when you have people around you. It could be your boy/girlfriend, fiancé/fiancée, husband/wife or just your buddies from school, college or work. That's irrelevant. The point is when you've decide to do something of this sort, you should have one thing cleared in your mind. You have to leave behind everything temporarily and just enjoy the moment to the fullest. You can never reset your life completely but you can take a break and be whoever you want to be without being judged. (Kinda the reason why 60% of men go to Vegas for their bachelor parties). You have to ignore that there is something called past and future and focus only on the present. Watch all the TV series you want, read all the books, make out with your partner, play the music you love out loud, do what makes you happy because when you get back to your routine life, you will have something to smile about for sure and you will probably wanna do more of it.

But remember, your getaway shouldn't become your routine life or else,
